NEXT DOC x BLACKSTAR

In response to COVID-19, the ninth edition of the BlackStar Film Festival will be presented entirely online this year. Although BlackStar online will ever come as close to being what it is in person, we’re super excited to take part and provide access to the full festival for all NeXt Doc Fellows.

We’re also proud a collaboration with BlackStar on a panel moderated by Darian called DOCUMENTARY AT THE END OF THE WORLD featuring NeXt Doc fellows Brit Hensel, Cai Thomas, Courtney Staton, and Lan Nguyen on Thursday, August 20th at 4PM / EST

Shout out to 2019 fellow Ash Goh on her world premiere of documentary short, I’M FREE NOW, YOU ARE FREE as apart of the Shorts Program: Chronicles on Monday, August 24th at 7:30PM / EST

Bhawin is out here as well, participating as a panelist on SOLIDARITY IS NOT A TREND, NOR A MARKET EXCHANGE moderated by Sonya Childress on Saturday, August 22nd at 12PM / EST.
