Logan Lynette Burroughs (they/them) Bred in the South, Logan’s visual poems focus on Black existence in the South. Through filmmaking and photography, They tenderly document the intricate intimacies of the Black community through a queer lens. In 2020, Logan made their first video composition, Spirit never dies, only transitions, which has been in a number of film festivals as well as notified as Oscars qualifying. Currently, Logan is showing two film works, to heaven and Deep Waters, at the North Carolina Museum of Art and South Eastern Center of Contemporary Art.
