Sungbin Moon (she/her) is a Korean filmmaker and visual artist based in Los Angeles. She intricately explores the intersection of family trauma, memory, and the identity of the Korean diaspora in her work. Her recent documentary, After the Storm was awarded the Linda Mabalot award in 2024. Her films have screened in festivals across the United States, such as the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, San Diego Asian Film Festival, National Film Festival for Talented Youth, and CAAMfest. She recently completed a personal photo book, “What Time Is It There?” documenting her visit back home for the first time in 3 years.
